Stirling Range National Park

Only 72km from the Ongerup Caravan Park, the Stirling Range National Park has plenty to offer, from dazzling wildflowers to daring treks making it well worth a trip.

Spring to early summer is the ideal time to visit as the the ranges come to life with an abundance of wildflowers and bird life which can be seen from the mountain hiking trails, lookouts, picnic areas and the 42km scenic drive on mostly unsealed, graded roads weaving throughout the park.

The star of the Range; Bluff Knoll which is the highest point above sea level, provides a challenging trek to the summit where it hosts a spectacular 360 degree view of the surrounds.

This week long, annual botanical event is held during late September and early October at the Ongerup/Needilup District Museum with many local plant specimens including stunning wildflowers and orchids.

Ongerup and surrounds is home to an extremely diverse collection of flora and fauna that is found nowhere else in the world, making the Ongerup Wildflower Show a must-see.

Due to temperamental seasons, the exact date of the show varies from year to year and will be released closer to the opening of the display. You will find the dates on the Ongerup Wildflower show facebook page.

Pets of any kind are not allowed in the National Park.

Park entry fees apply.
